Our company was founded over 20 years ago as a wine agency, mainly dealing in French and Austrian wines. Today, Giertz is a well established wine importer, selling wines from all over the world: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain and South Africa, as well as Sweden. Our main customer is Systembolaget, the Swedish retail monopoly. In 2009 we sold more than 650,000 cases, which makes us one of the ten biggest importers of wine in Sweden.
Our aim has always been to offer good quality as well as the best possible value for money. Many of our producers and their wines have been on the Swedish market for a long time and several are market leaders in their segment. In addition, we have a keen interest in new ideas and new products, and cooperate closely with producers and wine-makers in order to develop wines that can suit the Swedish market.
Our portfolio includes a number of popular wines, of different origins and styles. A full list of our wines can be found under “Våra Viner”
The key to our success is our small but highly skilled and efficient team of six people. Our office is located in the historic Old Town of Stockholm.
Managing Director and owner
In addition to his duties as managing director, Emil is responsible for wines from France and Spain.
He has been with the company since 1999.
Product manager and owner
Björn has been working with Giertz since 1988. He’s in charge of brand development and organic wines,
and is product manager for wines from Argentina, Chile and Eastern Europe.
Product manager
Previously one of the senior buyers at Systembolaget (the Swedish retail monopoly). Fredrik joined the company in 2005 and is responsible for wines from Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Portugal Italy and South Africa.
Logistics manager & Deputy Managing Director
Robert started in the company in 2008. He was previously working with management at our distributor company DLP. He is responsible of all logistics matters.
Product assistant, Horeca & whole salers, marketing and PR
Lottie has been working with Giertz since 1996 with many different things. Since 2008 she handles sales and PR.
Accounting, administration
Kasper joined the company in 2005 and takes care of everything from samples to accounts.
